What is a winch system?
A winch systemis a powerful tool that is mounted on a vehicle to rescue it from difficult situations, such as mud, sand or steep terrain. It usually consists of a robust electric winch, a rope and a mounting plate, attached either at the front or rear of the vehicle.
The difference between rear winch systems and front winch systems lies primarily in their position and their area of application. A front winch system is mounted on the front of the vehicle and is particularly suitable for use when you want to pull your vehicle forward out of difficult situations, e.g. on steep climbs or on uneven terrain.
A rear winch system is attached to the rear of the vehicle and is ideal for reversing the vehicle out of a difficult situation or in situations where pulling forward is not possible or safe. It is also ideal for lifting heavy loads such as quads or other vehicles effortlessly onto the loading area to pull.
Built-in vs. mobile winch system
The biggest difference between a built-in and one mobile winch system lies in flexibility and application. A built-in system is permanently mounted on the vehicle body and is suitable for frequent use. A mobile system, on the other hand, can be quickly used on different vehicles and is particularly practical for occasional recoveries or when flexibility is required.
